Our Iraqi Family

YASIR FAMILY LUNCH AT UCCA

Last Sunday we hosted our Iraqi family, Yasir, Noor, Fatima, Mahdi and Zainab, when they came and joined us at our Church Service, Children's Sunday School and a Luncheon in their honor after services.

I want to join the family in thanking all our Mission and church members who brought and cooked food! It almost all disappeared... so it must have been very good! Even Noor brought a tasty chocolate cake and some cookies.

The children enjoyed their Sunday school time and Noor was singing with me all our hymns and following the service outline. She said she would like to come again for services with the kids (Yasir works on Sundays and Noor does not have her drivers license)                                                     Is there anyone who lives nearby who could give her a ride sometimes? They live in the Arnold area - I will give you their address if you can help. I would love it if they could come and be part of us at UCCA!!

Noor still needs 7 hours of driving time. Anyone who could help with this?

Again THANKS TO ALL who made this visit and lunch for them a success.
