As mentioned last Sunday, we will again be participating with Asbury United Methodist Church on West Street in Annapolis in their Winter Relief Week.
Our Missions Committee and our church members have done this now for the past two years, and all who participated felt that it was a wonderful way of reaching out to our less fortunate Annapolis neighbors during the Christmas Season. It helps us remember that the true meaning of Christmas is that we help, feed and clothe those who are in need. This event is also really good for your children to come and participate! (the dinner and breakfast for children 6 and up, other later shifts are good for 14 nd up - a real eye-opener for many!)
I encourage you to participate in this effort - you will not regret it, I promise.
We will need food prepared nd brought to our church or to Asbury AND we will need people to take shifts to be at the church with the Homeless folks spending the night there. This is a very interesting time because you will be talking with the people who are there, and it will surprise you when you see who is there for you to sit and spend time with!
Please sign up when you receive the Sign-Up Genius for this event. Monica will send it out to all of you now that we have the shifts and meals that they want us to cover.

Friday Dec. 15 - evening & night shifts Shifts: 9pm - 2am, 1am - 7am
Saturday, Dec. 16 - Breakfast Shift 6am - 10 am & 9am - 12 noon
