Rev. Witko is an ordained minister in the UCC and has served churches in New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. She has served at the United Church of Christ of Annapolis as Pastoral Care Associate and most recently, served as a Bridge Pastor.
She attended the Theological School at Drew University in Madison. In 2004, she graduated Magna cum Laude, and received prizes in homiletics and scripture reading. In July 2020, Rev. Witko began studies for a Doctor of Ministry in Pilgrimage and Spirituality, also at Drew. She is currently writing her dissertation on How Following Harriet Tubman Today Leads to Personal Transformation and hopes to graduate within a year.
Rev. Witko and her family, including pups Storm and Jenny, live on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The UCCA is excited to thrive under her leadership and look forward to continuing our many outreach and community missions.
Ken came to UCCA in August 2022 after almost 40 years of service in eight churches of five denominations, one of which was a United Church of Christ. He has lived in California, Canada, Michigan, and Maryland. His wife Caitlyn is from Michigan and they have lived and worked in the Columbia area since 2016.
Originally Ken was a pianist, but he took organ lessons while in High School and later self-taught himself the accordion. He learned choir directing and leadership as an adult and has played instruments and led choirs of many sizes. He operated a music studio for several years in the 1990s. Later, he also taught philosophy and religion in a community college and worked with disabled adults.
Ken's favorite composers include Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and Handel -- but when relaxing or unable to sleep he is just as likely to listen to the Statler Brothers or Oak Ridge Boys. His interests include transcendentalism, Celtic culture, hiking, and environmental activism; he drives an electric car; and he tags along with Caitlyn who loves to travel. He enjoys his work at UCCA.
Lisa has been with the UCCA since 2014 serving as administrative assistant, Cornerstone Board member, and currently as church administrator. She has a degree in marketing and advertising, completed Education for Ministry from Sewanee University, and served for 10 years as youth leader in Severna Park, Maryland. She and her husband, David, live in Annapolis with their rescue pals George and Lexi. Lisa loves being a part of the UCCA family and is always ready to lend a hand.
Kaki loves the outdoors and being a part of the UCCA. She brings an extra special touch to everything she does. She keeps our buildings and grounds looking tip top. She lives on the eastern shore with her husband and horse. Kaki is a great asset to the UCCA.
